Dr. Abu Saleh Md. Golam Kibria, son of Dwip Upazila Maheshkhali has been promoted to the post of Professor in Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University. Dr. Golam Kibria had earlier worked as an Associate Professor at the same University.
The Senate meeting of the university on July 29 (Thursday) approved the promotion of Dr. Golam Kibria from Associate Professor to Professor.
Biography: Dr. Abu Saleh Md. Golam Kibria was born on 08 September 1982 in Panirchhara village of Hwanak union in Maheshkhali upazila. He is the first child of the late Maulana Abdul Quddus and Ratnagarbha Umme Kulsum, a retired government primary school headmaster from the same village.
Education Life: Dr. Abu Saleh Md. Golam Kibria After completing his primary education from Panir Chhara Government Primary School, he passed SSC in 1998 from Hwanak Panir Chhara Adarsh High School. In 2000, he passed HSC in the first class from Maheshkhali College.
In 2005 (Examination-2007) he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University (VVM) where he is currently working.
In 2009, he successfully obtained his post-graduate degree in Pharmacology from Bangladesh Agricultural University.
He later obtained his second master’s degree in anatomy from Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University.
Working life: Dr. Abu Saleh Md. Golam Kibria started his working life on 21 June 2008 by joining Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University as a Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy Histology.
He was later promoted to Assistant Professor of the same department on March 17, 2011 and Associate Professor in October 2016.
Advanced Research and Doctorate Degree: Dr. Abu Saleh Md. Golam Kibria stayed in Germany and Turkey from January 2014 to December 2017 for higher research. He received his PhD in 2016 from the University of Afyon Kocatepe in Turkey, researching stem cells.
In addition, more than 25 research papers have been published in various journals including local and international media.
